Adrian’s greatest accomplishment was being a loving and devoted husband to Stacy Riordan Romero and an incredible dad to Adrian “AJ, Elizabeth “EB” and Claudia. Adrian always put his family first and loved spending time together and called many friends family too. His infectious smile and caring heart will be missed by numerous family members and friends. One of his greatest joys was bringing people together – especially when it came to cheering on his beloved Jayhawks.

Adrian traveled the world and left his mark wherever he went.
Adrian was the oldest son of the late Jose “Joe” Romero and Susan Romero, and he was born on December 11, 1970, in Lawrence, Kansas. He was the proud brother of Beth Romero, Emily Romero Lilienkamp (Brian) and Jose Romero, Jr.. He was the cherished son-in-law to the late Bob Riordan and Pam Riordan (formerly of Lawrence, Ks). In addition, he was a great brother-in-law to Pat (Carrie) Riordan and Parris (John) Orr. He was also the fun uncle to four nephews (Jaron, Justin, Landon and Lawson) and two nieces (Jocelyn and Julia) whom he adored.
Adrian moved to Chicago, IL in 1998 and once again met Stacy Riordan (of Lawrence, Kansas) in 2000. It was love at first sight and married on April 28, 2001.
