JACKSON, Miss. — Irby, a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, proudly pledged over $378,000 to United Way and The Salvation Army on December 4, 2015. This grand commitment is a result of the generosity of Irby employees in 25 states who pledged personal funds during Irby’s 2015 annual United Way and Salvation Army campaign.
Irby takes pride in serving its communities and, for over 89 years, has been a leader in the fight to make a positive change, donating not only monetary gifts, but electrical supplies for various community projects. Even more valuable, employees donated their own time to help complete some of these community projects.
“Irby employees have earned an excellent reputation for caring about and supporting the communities where we live and work, and we believe that United Way and The Salvation Army are the best ways for us to support those communities,” stated the President of Irby, Mike Wigton. “I want to thank all of our employees who helped to make this significant pledge possible.”
Irby Vice President, Drew McGlinchey, added “Irby employees are the most generous and giving that I’ve seen. It is an honor to be a part of such a positive and caring group.”
