Greensmith, a leading provider of energy storage software, services and systems, announced today the addition of Jeff Damron as VP, Sales and Marketing. In recognition of accelerated company growth and strong industry demand for grid proven energy storage solutions, Damron’s hiring represents the first of several key staff additions planned for the Greensmith team in 2014. Damron brings more than 15 years of proven leadership in a variety of sales and marketing roles at technology infrastructure solutions companies in global energy, wireless and semiconductor industries, most recently with Demand Energy Networks.
“Greensmith’s battery-agnostic, intelligent software approach to the design and deployment of advanced energy storage systems and technologies is proving to be a prudent strategy. I’m excited to join the team at this exciting time in the industry and help drive the company’s next phase of growth in both Grid-Scale and behind the meter C&I markets,” said Mr. Damron. Mr. Damron will be based in California.
The company is expanding much of its technology and commercial operations on both the East and West coast of the United States, and is working with partners to serve international markets.
“We are delighted to have Jeff join at this important time of growth and opportunity in the energy storage market,” said Greensmith CEO, John Jung. “His addition along with many others about to be announced will help us scale to take full advantage of the technology credibility and leadership position we’ve built since 2008. With a growing number of utilities, power developers, OEMs and other industry participants relying on Greensmith technology and expertise, this is an incredibly exciting time for the company.”
