SAN JOSE, Calif. — KST Electric, a leading electrical contractor with installations throughout Texas, will start off 2014 by assuming the name of its parent company, Rosendin Electric, the nation’s largest private electrical contractor and an employee-owned company.
The name change marks the completion of an integration process that began when Rosendin Electric acquired KST Electric as a wholly-owned subsidiary in April 2010. The new identity for KST Electric will give Rosendin Electric three new Texas office locations in Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi. John Colley has been appointed to the newly created position of Director of Texas Operations.
“We are very excited to become part of Rosendin Electric divisions,” said Colley. “This move expands our operations with a renewed commitment to investment and expansion throughout Texas. Now that we have been formally integrated, we will be able to enhance our services using Rosendin Electric’s expertise in construction pre-planning, pre-fabrication, and packaging.”
“Renaming KST Electric to Rosendin Electric completes a process we started three years ago,” said Tom Sorley, Chairman and CEO of Rosendin Electric. “We pride ourselves on attracting the best possible talent, and the KST team has proven themselves to be a great asset to the company. We are delighted to formally welcome them as part of the Rosendin Electric family. This is just another step in solidifying Rosendin Electric’s reputation as a global brand.”
KST Electric was founded in 1994 as a certified minority/woman-owned business providing electrical, instrumentation and controls, telecomm, and plumbing contracting services to industrial clients throughout Texas. The company’s new web address is www.rosendin.com.
