Eliseu “Lee” Rosa Vieira, 59, passed away peacefully at his home in Newark, NJ, on Sunday, August 27, 2023, with his loving companion and her daughter by his side. He was born in South Africa, emigrated to the United States in 1989, and settled in the Ironbound Section of Newark.
Lee was a Salesperson for Swift Electrical Supply Company, based in Teterboro, N.J., since February 2016, and has worked in the industry for many years prior. He was loved and respected by his colleagues with many commenting on his work ethic, knowledge, determination, sense of humor, and dedication to his customers, coworkers, and industry partners.
He served in the Military in South Africa where he was an Electrical Lineman. Lee was into fitness and was a Rugby player in South Africa. He was an avid sports fan and loved soccer and Cristiano Ronaldo. He was also into martial arts, motorcycles, and Formula One racing.
Beloved son of Maria Rosa de Jesus Vieira and the late Armando Da Silva Vieira, Lee was a devoted and loving father of Rudy Vieira of South Africa and Ryan, Tyler, and Valentina Vieira; dear brother of Carlos Vieira of South Africa; loving companion of 6 years to Laura Cunha Teixeira and her children, Jennifer Da Silva and Andrea Cunha; and cherished grandfather of four.
The wake service for Lee will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St., Newark, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Pancreatic Cancer www.pancan.org would be graciously appreciated.
Interment will take place at a later date at Cemetery of Casa do Valor, Sao Mamede, Leiria, Portugal.
