Legrand Names 2023 Marketeer of the Year Winners

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Legrand has announced the winners of its annual “Marketeer of the Year” Competition. Comprised of Legrand’s electrical distribution partners throughout the United States and Canada, the competition aims to recognize distributors for overall marketing excellence, the incorporation of digital marketing tools within their marketing programs, and year-over-year sales growth. Distributors are nominated for consideration by their Legrand sales representative based on marketing activities conducted over the course of the year.

“Each year, our partners get more competitive and impressive with their marketing programs, and 2023 was no exception,” said Greg Kozniewski, Legrand’s Director of Channel Marketing for the Electrical Wiring Systems division. “Throughout this year’s 50 entries to the competition, we saw our partners deliver cohesive and creative strategic campaigns to meet the needs of their customers. There was an increased focus on digital marketing strategies, improving website presence and eCommerce performance in tandem with traditional marketing tactics like customer trainings, counter days and merchandising.”

In total, 12 regional “Marketeer of the Year” winners were selected; each entry was judged against others from similarly sized distributors within their specific sales region. A grand prize was also awarded, naming Cooper Electric, a Sonepar Company, the “Best Overall Marketeer of the Year” for the whole of North America.

“Through strategic planning, a dedication to training and a focus on sales growth, Cooper Electric’s marketing approach in 2023 was phenomenal,” said Legrand District Sales Manager Trevor Gardner. “The team kicked off the year collaborating with Brazill Brothers and Legrand to craft a robust plan to empower the team with insight and expertise needed for success. Their commitment to customer engagement ranged from informative product displays and literature at stores to giveaways and events to develop relationships and create memories. They also developed digital strategies to drive awareness and engagement through banner ads, landing pages, email marketing and social media campaigns. We know success doesn’t happen in isolation, and Cooper Electric’s diverse and strategic marketing efforts are proof.”
