The Senate and House Small Business Committees have selected NAED manufacturer member Tom Click from Patriot Industries to testify in a joint hearing in the US Capitol next Tuesday, April 8th.
Click started the family business in a 1,000 square foot warehouse with his wife Sarah and overcoming a number of obstacles including tax and regulatory challenges to employ nearly 100 workers today. Click has been a long-time coming proponent of American manufacturing, expanding his operation to two facilities in Virginia and one in Houston, Texas.
This hearing comes at a key time, as Congress is debating how to extend the expiring Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The decision to feature an NAED members in this joint hearing during the heat of the tax battle on Capitol Hill is a testament to the hard work of NAED’s advocacy from the government affairs team to increase our influence and visibility with key policy makers in Washington, DC.
tED magazine will live stream the entire event at www.tedmag.com beginning at 10am Eastern time.
If you would like to get more involved with our advocacy and government affairs efforts, please reach out to NAED Government Affairs Director Bud DeFlaviis at Bud@NAED.org.
