WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), the voice of the $8.2 trillion wholesale distribution industry that employs over 6 million U.S. workers, is pleased to announce the hiring of Meghan Cieslak as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer. Cieslak will lead communications, marketing, and branding efforts across the organization.
“I’m excited to welcome Meghan to the NAW team,” said NAW CEO Eric Hoplin. “Meghan’s keen grasp of distribution and expertise in building high-performing communication teams will be crucial as we develop innovative campaigns and strategies to reach new audiences and tell the powerful story of NAW and its members.”
Cieslak is a seasoned communications and marketing professional with two decades of experience crafting impactful messaging across public affairs, marketing, communications, and digital strategy. In her previous role as Senior Director of Communications & Marketing at the International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA), Cieslak successfully led initiatives that brought clarity and understanding to the complex food supply chain, highlighting its critical role for both the public and economy. At NAW, Cieslak will spearhead strategic communications and marketing campaigns to ensure the vital contributions of wholesale distribution are heard loud and clear by policymakers, consumers, and the media.
“I’m thrilled to join NAW and shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of wholesale distribution, whose dedication keeps America’s shelves stocked and businesses thriving,” said Cieslak. “I look forward to working with our membership, the media, and other partners and stakeholders to amplify the industry’s voice, champion policies that support our members’ vital work, and support NAW’s continued growth.”
