COMMERCE, CA — Nora Lighting founders Fred and Jilla Farzan have announced that daughter Neda Farzan has joined the company as a business development analyst. She is currently completing a rotational program in all Nora Lighting departments to gain insights into corporate operations and the lighting industry.
“We are very pleased to make this announcement,” said President Fred Farzan.
“Neda has proven business skills and, obviously, a close connection with the lighting industry through professional and personal relationships. Her enthusiasm and fresh approach will be valuable assets as Nora Lighting continues to expand product lines and develops new markets,” he said.
Ms. Farzan recently completed an MBA at the Columbia Business School in New York City with a concentration on Operations Management and Family Business Management.
Prior to attending Columbia, she worked at Deloitte Consulting in Los Angeles as a consultant, focusing on IT implementations. During her time at Deloitte she worked on projects in aerospace and defense, energy and high tech industries.
She is an alumna of the University of Southern California, where she received a BS in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business, and was student body president during her senior year. She also completed a minor in Sustainability Planning and Development while at USC.
“It is very exciting to work with the Nora team of lighting veterans,” said Ms. Farzan.
“We are bridging their years of experience and expertise in the industry with my professional and educational background in order to implement innovative ways of conducting business and to strengthen the Nora brand in existing and new markets,” she said.
