COMMERCE, CA — Nora Lighting announces the appointments of six staff members to new administrative, engineering and graphics positions.
“It is exciting to watch Nora grow and be able to offer career opportunities to our staff members,” said Fred Farzan, president of Nora Lighting.
Recently promoted are: Gerlie Elizaga and Evelyn Ybanez to the Accounts Receivable Department; Ricky Tlapanco to Procurement and Edgar Alonso to Customer Service Support. Elizaga and Ybanez previously worked as accounting assistants and Tlapanco and Alonso were on the Nora warehouse team.
New hires include Omar Ortiz-Silva, who joined the Nora Graphic Design Department, and Yonas Ghebreka as an Engineering intern. Ortiz-Silva previously worked at American Apparel and has studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He has a degree in graphic design and digital media from Pasadena City College. Engineering intern Yonas Ghebreka is a student at Cal Poly Pomona and works in product testing at Nora. Originally from Eritrea in east Africa, he recently emigrated to the U.S. and was granted political asylum.
