Nora Lighting Donates To Fire Victims

With company-wide consensus, Nora Lighting employees, reps and distributors chose to support the American Red Cross Home Fires Relief efforts this holiday season. A financial generous donation was presented to the ARC that will assist wildfire victims throughout California.

“The photos and personal stories of families who lost their homes during these devastating wildfires was heartbreaking,” said Neda Farzan, Nora Lighting business development analyst, who oversaw the Nora effort.  “Our entire team was unanimous in agreeing to support the ARC wildfire relief programs to help these families get back on their feet,” she said.

The Nora Lighting company donation was presented to the American Red Cross by Neda Farzan, Nora business development analyst, and Jilla Farzan, Nora executive vice president.

The American Red Cross continues to assist wildfire emergency responders and volunteers with food and supplies; provide shelters and food for fire evacuees; offer medical care; and continue on-going recovery plans.

The American Red Cross, a member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, is a humanitarian organization that provides emergency assistance, disaster relief and education throughout the world. The American Red Cross assists in nearly 64,000 disaster responses a year and 95 percent of their relief workers are volunteers. An average of 91 cents of every dollar spent is invested in humanitarian services and programs, including fire, hurricane, flood, earthquake and tornado relief.
