HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — NSi Industries, LLC announced that, effective January 3, 2017, G. R. Schrotenboer will take on the role of CEO. Prior to his new role with NSi Industries, Schrotenboer served as the President/CEO of Hartland Controls, an electrical component manufacturer/distributor supporting the HVAC industry. Schrotenboer also ran a number of electrical business units during his tenure with Actuant Corporation including his role as the Divisional President of the Global Marine business. Other prior roles included customer facing positions with Invensys Controls, GE, and Ciba Geigy.
According to Andy Boswell of Blue Sea Capital, NSi Industries’ private equity partner, “G. R. is an accomplished, well-rounded executive who brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of NSi’s business. His knowledge, gleaned from his early years at some of the highest quality “blue chip” corporations, and more recently, his tenure with entrepreneurial middle-market companies make him a perfect fit for NSi.” Boswell also mentioned that, “Looking forward into 2017 and beyond, G. R. and the executive management team at NSi will be keenly focused on accelerating the company’s growth and gaining market share with redoubled efforts in areas such as customer relationship development, new product development, and strategic acquisitions; among others.”
When Schrotenboer was asked about his decision to join the company, he said, “It’s an honor to be selected for the position and I’m excited to embrace the leadership opportunities that lie ahead for NSi in servicing our customer base in the electric distribution market. I believe that my more than two decades of electrical and industry-related experience have prepared me to help expand and broaden the reach of NSi.” He also stated, “As a business leader, you don’t have many opportunities to help direct and take an already strong business to the next level, so this is a fantastic opportunity to lead NSi’s next evolutionary step as a business.”
Schrotenboer will relocate his family from the suburbs of Chicago, Ill. to Huntersville, N.C., where NSi is headquartered.
