SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Orbit Industries, Inc., a family-owned manufacturer started by electrical contractors, announces it has joined the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) San Diego Chapter as an Associate Member. This marks Orbit’s first official membership in a contractor trade group.
As an Associate Member, Orbit Industries, Inc. will lend knowledge and resources to help Chapter Members expand their operations, increase efficiency, and enhance their bottom lines. Orbit will also co-sponsor NECA San Diego Chapter events, such as golf outings, trade shows, dinners, and continuing education events.
Earlier this year, NECA San Diego’s Board of Directors approved Orbit Industries’ membership by majority vote. To join the Chapter, Associate Members must first be “introduced” by accredited representatives. Without a representative, applicant companies can’t join. Fortunately, Orbit had such a representative in its ranks – recently-hired Factory Salesperson, Jennifer Hartpence, who serves on two committees for the chapter.
“Jennifer [Hartpence] understands the market and is a master at using all available resources to ensure contractor success,” said Orbit Industries’ President (and former contractor) David Nikayin. “We are truly fortunate to have Jennifer share her network with us and represent the company. Without her, this partnership could not have happened.”
Hartpence will represent Orbit Industries at steering committee meetings, board meetings, and Chapter events. Hartpence has more than 18 years of experience within the electrical industry. Prior to Orbit, Jennifer was an account manager and branch manager on the distribution side. Prior to that, she held the role of Purchasing Manager at Collins Electrical Company in Sacramento, California. In addition to her work with NECA San Diego Chapter, she is also an active member of the Associated Subcontractor’s Alliance of San Diego (ASA).
