Rexel has announced the acquisition of Liteco, “the largest independent distributor of electrical supplies in the Canadian Maritimes region,” according to a Rexel news release.
Liteco has 13 branches throughout the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The company employs 120 people and posted 2011 sales of 50 million Euro.
According to the company, “This acquisition complements Rexel’s position in Canada, one of the world’s largest markets, and is consistent with Rexel’s strategic aim of strengthening its market share in key mature markets.”
Rexel, the largest electrical distributor in Canada, has more than 200 branches across the country.
