Sherri Thorne, formerly of Rexel, has joined the IDW team at The Industry Data Exchange Association, Inc. (IDEA) to serve in the new IDW Distributor Specialist position. Thorne will work closely with distributors to help them use the product data in the Industry Data Warehouse (IDW) to satisfy their evolving business needs and challenges.
During her 26 years at Rexel Holdings USA, she was involved in a multitude of departments including inventory management, pricing, and sales. She also served as the Director of Purchasing for five years. Rexel is a worldwide distributor of electrical and datacom products and consistently ranks near the top of Electrical Wholesaling magazine’s Top 200 List (Ranked #3 in 2013).
“With my background in distribution and knowledge of the supply chain, I fully understand the needs and objectives of distributors as well as the importance of providing quality product data for the industry. I’m excited to join IDEA in this role to act as an advocate for distributors and contribute to the channel,” said Thorne.
