Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. (SYD) and APR Supply Company have announced that their joint venture business model will be expanding into the Indiana, Pa. area. The companies expect the expansion to happen by fall 2012.
To complete the co-location, SYD will move the operations of its branch on Airport Road in Indiana to a joint location with APR at 2060 Shelly Drive.
This expansion will bring SYD and APR to 11 multi-distributor facilities across Pennsylvania. Of those 11 locations, four of them include a third distributor—Industrial Piping Systems, which supplies pipe, valve and fitting products.
According to the companies, this multi-distributor facility model is the first of its kind in the state and in the wholesale distribution industry. The first joint venture between APR and SYD opened in Chambersburg, Pa. in 2006.
Both SYD and APR are independent, locally-owned distributors. SYD is a supplier of electrical products, while APR provides plumbing and HVAC supplies.
