CHARDON, OH – Solon Manufacturing Company has appointed Perry Blossom as its new president and CEO. Previously, Blossom served as vice president and manager of the Belleville springs division at Solon.
Former president, Tim Dunn will remain active throughout the launch of Solon’s newest generation of the density monitor and pressure switch product line. Dunn joined Solon in 1979 after graduating from Ohio University. His career began in manufacturing as a lathe operator where he quickly developed his skills in operations and management. An avid cyclist, Dunn plans on getting back to designing and building bicycle frames, and will remain on the Solon board of directors.
“Perry’s success in growing the Belleville spring product line as well as developing many new business processes has been extremely valuable during a period of strong, steady growth,” said Dunn. “His advancement to president is a natural progression and Solon will continue to prosper under his close attention.” Blossom earned his Masters of Business Administration from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and holds a BA in Economics from Denison University. Blossom joined Solon in 1993 and has served many roles in his nearly 22 years.
“It has been a pleasure working with Tim,” Blossom said. “Under his leadership, Solon strengthened its ability to manufacture quality products, and has established a solid platform for Solon to build on and expand its value to customers worldwide.”
