Philippe Delpech, CEO at Sonepar, sent the following message to Vallen North America employees:
Sonepar has transferred the ownership of Vallen Distribution North America to its new shareholder Nautic Partners.
The sale includes all Vallen businesses in USA, Canada and Mexico, mainly focused on industrial MRO and integrated supply services. Vallen’s businesses in Asia are not included in this transaction and will remain part of the Sonepar Group.
Sonepar’s decision to divest Vallen North America came after a strategic evaluation regarding the best path forward for Vallen and its associates.
Sonepar is undergoing a major transformation to remain the world leader in B2B electrical products, systems, and services distribution, serving customers with an omnichannel digital experience, promoting best-in-class sustainability, and ensuring our associates a diverse and inclusive working environment.
Sonepar will focus going forward on the core electrical distribution businesses around the world, increasing investments to grow organically and through acquisitions.
I would like to personally thank all Vallen North American associates for their contribution to the Group since they joined in 2008.
Sonepar announced the sale to the private equity group on February 24, 2022. Vallen has locations in 27 states, including California, Texas, New York, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, and Tennessee. It’s website describes as an industrial distribution company.
