ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Summit Electric Supply has named Jim Tiemann as the new service center leader of its San Antonio, Texas location. Tiemann was previously a manager of onsite services for an international industrial supplier where he was responsible for expanding business development in six markets.
With more than 32 years of experience, Tiemann possesses a proven track record of accomplishments in associate development, customer service management and sales management. His experience and strong knowledge of the industry advanced him into numerous leadership positions at branch, market, district and regional levels. Most notably, he was a regional subject matter expert for inventory management and built a curriculum to mentor regional leaders to master inventory management and customer service improvements.
“We are very excited to have Jim on board with us. He has a successful track record of leading and growing teams along with supply chain differentiation,” said Richard Landry, Summit Vice President, South Texas district. “I am confident in Jim’s ability and look forward to exciting times in the San Antonio market.”
In his new leadership role, Tiemann says he will use his knowledge and experience and invest in his team, as well as create strong vendor relationships. “My goal is to build a team that is driven to provide exceptional customer service and focused on increasing market share,” he said.
Tiemann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
