Team USA has re-captured the 2016 Waterman Cup, by beating a team of Canadian electrical distributors in a match play golf event at the Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton Ontario, Canada. Team USA won the cup on the last hole, 3.5 to 2.5.
Team USA included golfers Terry MacDonald of Werner Electric Supply, Kelly Vliet of Medler Electric Supply, Ray Womack of Womack Electric Supply, and David Whitaker of CED. Team Canada’s team members are Stephen Kleynhans, Bruno Ardito, Ian Rand, and Andre Leblanc.
The final hole playoff to decide the Waterman Cup comes after two years of tight matches. In 2014, Team USA won 4.5 to 1.5. Last year, after a 3-3 tie, both teams decided to share the Cup.
