Judges for the tED magazine Best of the Best Awards have honored 24 NAED companies for their marketing efforts in 2018.
Award winners will be recognized at a special awards breakfast at the Adventure Conference at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis on August 12-15. It will be the first time the Adventure Conference will be held in Minneapolis.
And this year, another first. NAED is bringing together NAED employees who work in marketing and technology, but this year, the association is adding education sessions in purchasing.
Registration for the NAED Adventure Conference is now open. You can click here to register.
On the marketing side, the Adventure Conference features education tracks by Michael Brenner, CEO of Marketing Insider Group, to discuss how to show return on investment with content marketing, plus Veronica Romney, President and Co-Founder of Losomo, Inc., on how you can perform your own audit on your online presence. Brad Blake, Senior Vice-President and Director of Digital Strategy for Hill Holliday, will point out the seismic shifts in the world of advertising, and that means new data for you to better understand your customers.
The Technology education sessions at Adventure include a panel discussion with IT managers for Crescent Electric Supply, Elliott Electric, IAC Supply Solutions, and Womack Electric Supply as they discuss cloud applications, IT infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, and outsourcing strategies for IT. Also, John Poff, Information Security Manager at Crescent Electric Supply, will host an education session for IT employees on making sure you are protected from security breaches. Stacey Higginbotham is an internationally known Internet of Things expert who will point out the opportunities for distributors as contractors ask for help as IoT expands.
Attendees for the purchasing track will have education sessions on new product launch best practices, including what to ask of vendors when it comes to restocking fees, RGA’s, open order discounts, and marketing dollars. Jason Bader, Managing Partner for The Distribution Team, will help purchasing agents work with inventory turns and customer service by looking at ways to manage inventory without creating too many empty shelves.
The tED magazine Best of the Best Awards will honor distributors and manufacturers in 13 categories, including Brand Awareness, Social Media Campaign, Event, Integrated Promotional Campaign, Product Launch, and Video. Each category was broken into sizes based on annual revenue. This year 24 NAED companies received Best of the Best Awards, with one distributor and one manufacturer receiving the Overall Best of the Best Award for their marketing efforts.
