MEMPHIS, Tenn.— Chad Smith, vice president, product management and engineering, at Thomas & Betts (T&B), a member of the ABB Group, was among those selected for the Memphis Business Journal’s 18th annual “Top 40 Under 40.” The 40 finalists were selected from more than 250 nominations.
The program “recognizes the talents of the brightest Memphis-area professionals under age 40, both for career accomplishments and for giving their personal time to help local charities,” according to the article that appeared in the Oct. 9 issue of the Memphis Business Journal.
“I’ve learned that what makes a company great is its people.” Smith said. “The people at T&B are self motivated and work as a team, which enables the company to outperform our competitors on a regular basis. The company encourages its employees to cultivate their talents with ongoing professional development opportunities. I’m happy to be part of this team and the role it is playing in creating success for our distributor partners and their customers.”
Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in polymer chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in business from the University of Georgia. He joined Thomas & Betts in 2011 and has held various roles in product management, marketing and engineering.
