CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Van Meter Inc. is proud to announce it has been selected as one of Minnesota’s Top Workplaces again in 2023.
The Top Workplace designation is based on a feedback survey of employees who rate their workplace culture based on alignment, coaching, connection, engagement, leadership, performance, and basic workplace benefits and expectations. Van Meter ranked 23rd among the state’s mid-size companies, up from 45th in 2022. Over 5,000 companies in Minnesota were invited to participate in the 2023 Top Workplaces survey.
Why is employee engagement important? According to Energage, organizations that improve their business through employee engagement have greater productivity, higher profitability, lower turnover, better safety and improved customer satisfaction.
According to Lura McBride, Van Meter’s President and CEO, there is a direct correlation between higher engagement and business growth at Van Meter.
“Our people live our values to create lasting value for our partners. This grows our company value through a high-performance culture.”
Van Meter is 100% employee-owned, and for McBride, growing the company’s value helps its people and partners succeed. “It allows us to continue to invest, so that our people can help our partners grow their company’s value too.”
In partnership with Energage, the Star Tribune published the complete list on Sunday, June 18. Energage conducts Top Workplace surveys annually to measure organizational health and employee engagement.
Van Meter has more than 825 employee-owners across 25 locations in eight states. Six locations and 262 of its employee-owners are in Minnesota.
