TINTON FALLS, NJ — Warshauer Electric Supply is proud to announce that Commercial Lighting Sales Engineer Shawn Renner has completed the National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors (NAILD) Lighting Specialist II (LS-2) Certification. The association, established in 1977, promotes and develops the lighting expertise of the student while encouraging them to be actively engaged in their learning. As the LS-1 Certification Program focuses on the technological aspects of the lighting industry (using on-line modules with workbook activities and exercises), the LS-2 stresses applied lighting in the marketplace. The LS-2 Program highlights a “hands-on” experience and emphasizes the transition from the role as “product provider” to “solution provider”.
“A continuation of the LS-1, the LS-2 took an interactive approach, utilizing the basic principles previously learned and applying them to real world applications, and, at times, to actual projects,” says Shawn Renner. “Having the LS-2 certification is going to help me confidently provide the best lighting products and solutions. Mr. Renner is the third Warshauer employee, joining Commercial Lighting Sales Specialists Lucy Harris (LS-1, LS-2) and Stacey Warshauer (LS-1), to earn a NAILD Lighting Specialist certification.
