Wayne Clement was the branch manager of the St. Charles branch of Steiner Electric. He passed away Saturday, April 15, at the age of 66.
Please see the note below from Rick Kerman and the Steiner Family:
It is with great sadness and disbelief that we inform you of the passing of our long-time friend and co-worker, Wayne Clement. After a courageous battle with cancer, Wayne passed away on Saturday evening at home with his family by his side.
Wayne has always been a pillar within the Steiner organization and a major contributor to our success over the past 29 years.
Wayne was more than our St. Charles Branch Manager; he was a friend. Through his leadership, guidance and mentoring Wayne nurtured many employees who have developed into some of our best current and future leaders. His gracious acts of compassion, devotion, fairness and the respect for others reached beyond Steiner and into the community. Wayne’s initiatives have helped support many families and individuals through fund raisers at the various branch events in support of Homeless Children, the Hesed House in Aurora, and he proudly represented The Steiner Kerman Education Foundation at local scholarship award ceremonies.
Walking into the St. Charles branch and talking to Wayne was like seeing an old friend. The conversations were always warm, selfless, and humorous. Wayne always made you feel welcomed and will always be remembered as a mentor who exemplified the values of family, Steiner, and community.
Clement’s obituary can be found here.
Wayne is survived by his wife Dianne, daughter Michelle Clement, son Bradley (Tina) Clement, grandson Tanner Clement, sister Linda (Mike) McCabe, also several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Alcide and Elizabeth Perusse and paternal grandparents Harmidas and Lydia Clement.
A gathering of family/friends will take place on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 3:00 pm until a memorial service at 7:00 pm at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. The cremation took place at American Crematory. Memorials may be directed to an Educational Fund for Tanner Clement, grandson, P.O. Box 665 Oswego, IL 60543-0665.
