Andrew Mani, 32
Marketing Specialist
NorthEast Electrical
Andrew joined NorthEast Electrical in 2018 as a marketing specialist. “I had no prior industry experience, but I did have a strong foundation in marketing and a passion for sustainability,” he noted. Over the years, he has grown into a key contributor, leading internal communications, digital strategy, and event marketing and is deeply committed to connecting with associates, customers, and vendors through impactful communication.
“My previous two jobs involved marketing for environmental nonprofit companies,” recalled Andrew. “I came into the electrical industry through a marketing lens, initially drawn by NorthEast’s sustainability values. I was excited to learn and grow in an industry that was unfamiliar but full of potential. Today, what continues to inspire me is NorthEast’s dedication to sustainability, continuous education, and inclusion.”
Asked to name a challenge the electrical industry is facing, Andrew pointed to the aging workforce. “As many experienced professionals approach retirement, there’s a growing need to attract, train, and retain the next generation of talent,” he explained. “I am the president of our Connect ERG, which I helped launch in 2022.” Focusing on mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities for emerging professionals, Andrew has helped grow membership, built a strong digital presence, and led efforts to make NorthEast’s workplace more inclusive and supportive. “By creating a sense of community and offering resources for younger associates, we’re closing the generational gap, sharing knowledge, and making the industry more welcoming to new talent,” he said.
Looking ahead, Andrew is focused on continuous improvement and professional growth. “I am always trying to push myself to grow by refining my skills, staying ahead of industry trends, and taking on new challenges,” he explained. “We are always trying to make our events and promotions bigger and better to drive more sales. Whether I’m leading large projects or helping drive initiatives like the Connect ERG, I’m always looking for ways to grow and make a real impact at NorthEast.”
What would Andrew tell someone new to the industry? “Ask questions!” he said. “There is a lot to learn in this industry, and the best way to succeed is through asking questions, building relationships, and challenging the status quo. The electrical industry is full of opportunities for those willing to learn and innovate.”
Outside of work, Andrew is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player. “I’ve been playing on my Boston club league team, Tofu Wolf, for the past eight years,” he said. “I also enjoy playing softball, basketball, golf, ping pong, pickleball, and racquetball. Outside of sports, I enjoy traveling abroad, hiking, running 5ks, and attending rock concerts. I got married in May [2025] and couldn’t be happier!”
