3E Appoints New President and Vice President

WINDSOR HEIGHTS, Iowa — Electrical Engineering & Equipment (known as 3E) is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Van Brocklin as President and COO and the promotion of Mike Alrichs to the position of Vice President, Industrial Sales.

Van Brocklin has been with 3E-Electrical Engineering & Equipment Company for 21 years. His previous role was Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, a position he has held since 2006. Van Brocklin joined 3E in 1994 to help start and manage their first branch location in Waterloo, Iowa. Other positions over his career at 3E have been Vice President of Branch Operations and Vice President of Sales.

Jeff Stroud, who has served as President and CEO of the company since 1995, will maintain his role as CEO and as the Chairman of the Board. “I am thrilled to pass the torch to Steve, whom I know to be talented and thoughtful,” said Stroud. “He was the unanimous choice of the Board of Directors. While I will continue a very active role at the company, I enthusiastically welcome Steve as our new President. I am confident in his abilities and excited for the future of the company.”

Electrical Engineering & Equipment Company has also announced another key addition to the executive management team.

Mike Ahlrichs has been promoted to Vice President, Industrial Sales. Mike has been with 3E for 21 years, and he will continue to oversee and coordinate the growth strategy and direction of the Industrial, OEM, Data-Comm (ITS), and Automation departments.
