DALLAS, Texas — City Electric Supply (CES) is proud to announce its partnership with First for Performance (F4P) to raise money for Men’s Health Awareness Month. F4P “went nuts for the month of November” and donated five percent of wire connector sales, raising a total of $11,647.50. Together, F4P and CES raised $23,349. The money raised was donated to the American Cancer Society of Palm Beach. This is the third year CES and F4P collaborated to raise money for a good cause.
“Men’s health is such an important topic, and we are grateful to TAMCO for helping us fund research in that area,” said Senior Philanthropy Manager Elizabeth Tanner. “Their generous donation will continue to help the American Cancer Society attack cancer from every angle.”
City Electric Supply President & CEO Thomas Hartland-Mackie presented the check to the American Cancer Society of Palm Beach during the grand opening of TAMCO’s 411,000-square-foot fulfillment and manufacturing center on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
With about 97% of electricians being men, F4P wanted to offer a charitable campaign that would directly appeal to its customer base. Supporting Men’s Health Awareness Month was a no brainer. The main goal was to raise awareness about men’s health and the importance of getting regular check-ups. Around 70% of men do not get regular check-ups for testicular cancer, even though they are key to prevention. By adding a little humor and a light-hearted approach with the campaign title “F4P Went Nuts for the Month of November,” F4P was able to surpass the donation goal this year.
“We are excited to know that this campaign has shed light on the health issues facing men today and are honored to double our donation this year,” said Max Johnson, Commercial Director, TAMCO Group. “It warms my heart to see the fantastic response from our customers over the past three years.”
F4P, a division of TAMCO Group (TAMCO), is one of the six CES in-house brands.
