After nearly 30 years with Schneider Electric, Ralph Harris announced his retirement effective March 31. Mike Montanari, currently the company’s Vice President of Power Systems, will take on the Vice President of Channel Development position.
Harris joined Schneider Electric in 1991 as National Sales Manager and since has assumed numerous leadership roles in Organizational Development, Sales and Marketing, and finally Channel Management. During his Schneider career, he was a respected advisor and advocate to his peers, staff, and Channel Partners. His impact on the industry is equally significant. Most recently, he served on the board of the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), helping with strategic planning for all distributors and moving the industry towards more digital models. And as a strong champion of diversity and inclusion, Harris has helped drive critical change both within Schneider, and the industry at large.
While Harris will be missed, Schneider is excited to announce that Mike Montanari has succeeded Harris effective April 1, 2021. Montanari joined Schneider Electric in 1985 as a Sales Engineer, and after 36 years with the company is known and respected for his extensive experience in marketing, sales, product development, project management, and business development in key segments and businesses.
Previously, Montanari served as Vice President of the Power Systems group, responsible for the business performance of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment. In parallel, he also led the strategy development and execution for the EcoStruxure Power domain and Schneider Electric’s engagement with Specifiers and Contractors.
Montanari holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife and has three grown children.
