CHICAGO (AP) — Littelfuse Inc. on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $32.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Chicago-based company said it had net income of $1.29 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.87 per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2 per share.
The circuit protection manufacturer posted revenue of $402.3 million in the period, which also did not meet Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $412.7 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $164.6 million, or $6.52 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.72 billion.
For the current quarter ending in April, Littelfuse expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.86 to $2.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $404 million to $416 million for the fiscal first quarter.
Littelfuse shares have increased 7.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 12 percent in the last 12 months.
