HOUSTON, Texas — After more than 46 years in the electrical distribution business, Kenny DeLaune has announced his retirement from Crawford Electric effective March 31, 2022. DeLaune has led the company’s Louisiana business for almost a decade, built a team of exceptional associates, and fueled Crawford’s growth in the Louisiana market. He has been an exceptional leader and friend to customers, suppliers, and internal associates.
Fortunately for Crawford, effective April 1, 2022, DeLaune has agreed to continue working with and on behalf of Crawford on a contract basis. He will be focused on assisting with a smooth management transition, developing new business opportunities, coordinating existing and new customer relationships across Crawford’s entire footprint, and will remain a key contact for associates, customers and suppliers.
In conjunction with DeLaune’s retirement, the company is pleased to announce that Michael Ringe will be promoted to Area Manager with responsibility for Louisiana business. Ringe has significant industry experience and joined Crawford in 2013 as a Branch Manager in Baton Rouge. He successfully grew the business and was promoted to Regional Business Manager, where he has worked closely with DeLaune running the regional business. Crawford is excited for Ringe and has every confidence that he will continue to manage and grow the business.
“Kenny has been a great friend, mentor and leader within Crawford’s business. His contributions are deeply appreciated and will always be recognized. Personally, I am happy for Kenny but also pleased that he will remain close to our business,” said Mike Dumas, Crawford’s President. “Equally, please join me in congratulating Michael Ringe on his promotion and new role. He has a bright future ahead, and I am excited to watch Michael continue to grow and build our business.”
