HARRISBURG, Pa. – On May 24, 2023, Schaedler Yesco’s Marc Malvizzi was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award during the NAED 2023 National Meeting in Florida.
A member of the electrical industry since 1985, Malvizzi volunteered his time and experience serving on the Eastern Region Council and later as the Eastern Region Vice President. In addition, he served on various committees and project development teams, including Disaster Recovery, Selling Services, and other programs to help member distributors grow and prosper.
“The most valuable part of NAED is the connection with other members,” Malvizzi said. “As a small distributor and new to my role in those early years, being a member meant I had the support and experience of many others to help me grow.”
One of the most important projects he helped with was building accurate and consistent data for distributor ERP and eCommerce systems.
“Getting everyone on the same page with data was a huge undertaking. Everyone started building websites and eCommerce, and it was critical that we all have data in the same format and the same quality,” he said. “NAED has worked with IDEA and other data sources to ensure product information is consistent so we can all have accurate and consistent data to share with our customers. NAED helps ALL members, regardless of size, look and act professionally.”
When asked about being given this honor, Marc fell a bit silent. “I’m humbled. I’m surprised and humbled,” he said. “With NAED, you always get more out of it than what you put in. I believe in the vision and just wanted to do my part to help.”
