AZLE, Texas — Located 30 minutes outside of Fort Worth, Azle, Texas, is growing at an annual rate of .71% annually and has a population increase of 2.16% percent since the most recent census. City Electric Supply (CES) has opened its first branch in Azle to assist with developments in the city.
“Azle is a hub for surrounding areas and sees a lot of travel each day. We picked Azle as the location to open the branch because it’s near Eagle Mountain Lake, and CES felt a gap in supply there,” said Regional Manager Phil McKinney. “The branch is close to existing CES locations, and we felt it was a good place for us to grow in Fort Worth. There’s a lot of growth going on in Azle, and CES wants to be here while it’s happening.”
Branch Manager Collin Greene previously worked at CES Aledo in Outside Sales for several years and has nearly a decade of experience in the electrical supply industry. Sales representative Chase Spangler has previously worked in outside sales out of CES Aledo as well. Counter salesman Riley McNair is a former electrical apprentice, and Driver Anthony Valdez has industry experience too.
“The team I have here is second to none. Having people with experience is beneficial for us, and we can help get customers what is best for them,” said Collin. “We are a young group, and we are prepared to go the extra mile.”
Starting the process to open in January, CES Azle is 6,200 square feet with a complete warehouse and showroom. CES Fort Worth and Aledo are about 20 miles away from the new Azle store.
“The building was an empty shell, so we had a contractor come in and do a build-out for our offices, breakroom, etc.,” said Collin. “The location is already helping existing CES customers, and it’s been helping new customers in this area.”
Groups like E-Conn Enterprises LLC who specialize in building and assisting designs for multifamily, hospitality, and residential communities needed a supply house that could help them in a few key areas.
“This Azle location is just a few minutes away from our main office,” said Chris Portales, Sr. Project Manager for E-Conn. “I’ve worked with CES for over 13 years now. This location has plenty of space to help store material for our projects, and we are looking forward to being able to utilize this location.”
Recently, the branch celebrated its grand opening with customers, more than 10 vendors, and other CES teams stopping by to show their support. Community members came out and showed their support for the electrical supply house as well.
“For CES, we want to reach those customers who had to travel double the distance to get what they needed each day,” said Phil. “We want to reach more customers and people, especially people that have never used CES. We are excited to be here in Azle, introduce ourselves to new customers, and show them what we can do.”
