The Good Stuff, Vol. 101

The Good Stuff, Vol. 101

Welcome to “The Good Stuff,” where we highlight positive news and ways that NAED employees and member companies go above and beyond to give back to their communities! If you have some “Good Stuff” that you would like to share with tED, find out how below.

In this issue, we’re looking at one of our newer members, Egret Consulting, which is committed to “giving back” and serving the community.

Egret Consulting makes regular quarterly donations on behalf of its client partners to support organizations and causes that positively impact the world.  Those organizations include Foster Love, Meals on Wheels, National Wildlife Federation, and Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

In addition, Egret team members volunteer in the community.

Employees recently volunteered at Bernie’s Book Bank picking and bagging books to be distributed to schools so that children may have books of their own.

Since 2009, Bernie’s Book Bank has distributed more than 23 million free children’s books to kids, ages birth through sixth grade.

Bernie’s Book Bank focuses on communities where children are the least likely to have access to books of their own and delivers the age-appropriate, high-interest, and culturally relevant books children deserve.

Books and book ownership create pathways to success, so we empower children to explore new ideas, gain knowledge, and strengthen reading skills. With the support of generous volunteers and donors, Bernie’s Book Bank is transforming children’s stories.

Egret Consulting volunteered earlier this year at Feed My Starving Children in Libertyville, IL.

We handpacked nutritious meals that will be distributed to undernourished children. The meals bagged and boxed will go to children in Mali, Africa. FMSC helps feed children globally with a mission to help break the cycle of poverty.

Egret Consulting walks annually in the Alzheimer’s Association® Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Lake County, IL.  This year’s walk is September 28, 2024.

Egret proudly donates on behalf of our client partners to support the cause and Alzheimer’s Association’s vision of a world without ALZ and all other dementia.

Participating each year in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s has extra special meaning as multiple Egret team members have lost loved ones to this horrible disease. Egret looks forward to the day when a White Flower is seen in the Promise Garden signifying the first survivor of Alzheimer’s!
