LEDVANCE Commits to Sustainable Packaging

LEDVANCE is introducing plastic-free packaging for LED lamps in the OSRAM brand. With a strong focus on sustainable development, this new packaging approach from LEDVANCE satisfies the needs of the present without compromising the demands of the future. However, the new folding boxes are not just good for the environment and our green conscience, they will also provide real benefits when purchasing a lamp.

100 % recyclable, 0 % plastic

The new, more environmentally friendly folding boxes for LED lamps in OSRAM brand from LEDVANCE are 100% recyclable. They consist of 80% recycled material, they are totally plastic-free, and they replace the previously used plastic blister. By purchasing LED lamps in OSRAM brand from LEDVANCE, every single consumer can make a real contribution to sustainability.

Together for a more environmentally conscious future

“With our energy-saving and durable LED products we already offer many sustainable lighting solutions for our customers. Not using any plastic at all for packaging, we will reduce 225 tons of plastic waste annually in Europe alone* and we take another step towards greater environmental and climate protection,” explains Marc Gerster, LEDVANCE Head of Retail and Partnership Management for Western Europe. “Together with our customers and partners, we want to stand for an environmentally conscious future and make our contribution to it.”

Clear conscience and understandable information

The packaging has been designed down to the very smallest detail. The sturdy cardboard boxes reliably protect the products. At the same time, a large visibility panel and clear base presentation offer an unobstructed view of the bulb, shape and design. All important information like wattage, lumens, lifespan, light color and dimmability is also clearly and prominently displayed. As a result, the customers can quickly and directly find the desired product.
