In this issue, we highlight NECA, which bolstered hurricane relief efforts with a major donation to the American Red Cross.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to community support and disaster recovery by donating funds to the American Red Cross to assist in relief efforts following the recent hurricanes. The donation, made through the NECA Disaster Relief Fund, will directly contribute to aiding those affected by these devastating natural disasters, offering essential resources.

The NECA Disaster Relief Fund, established to support disaster-stricken communities, allows NECA members to swiftly respond in times of need. This fund, managed in collaboration with ELECTRI International, provides immediate financial assistance to NECA contractors and their families who face hardships due to natural disasters, enabling them to recover more quickly. By expanding its reach through partnerships like the one with the Red Cross, NECA ensures that its impact is felt across the wider community during times of crisis.

“Supporting the communities in which we live and work is of huge importance when it comes to serving our NECA family. Through the NECA Disaster Relief Fund, we not only help our members but also strengthen our partnerships with organizations like the Red Cross to bring critical aid to those who need it most,” said NECA CEO David Long. “We are proud to contribute to the ongoing relief efforts following the recent hurricanes and stand with those who are rebuilding their lives.”

The recent hurricanes have caused widespread damage, displacing thousands of families, and have led to the expansion of NECA Cares efforts. The Association’s donation will assist in delivering much-needed relief to currently impacted areas and strengthen a relationship to serve future disaster locations. Being able to support the Southeast Line Chapter NECA members and all of NECA’s outside line contractors who travel nationwide to restore power to affected areas, underscores NECA’s commitment to serving in times of crisis.

The NECA Disaster Relief Fund is supported by generous contributions from NECA members, employees, and industry partners. For more information on the NECA Disaster Relief Fund and how you can support disaster recovery efforts, visit the ELECTRI International website.
