JPMorgan Chase Earnings Rise, But Miss Estimates

JPMorgan Chase reported another quarter of rising profits, but the earnings failed to meet analyst expectations.

The nation’s largest bank said profits rose 6% from the third quarter a year ago to $15.3 billion, or $5.57 per share, falling short of the $5.90 per share that analysts forecast. Net revenue rose 8% to $50.2 billion compared to $46.4 billion in the third quarter of last year.

CEO Jamie Dimon said of the earnings that, “large fiscal deficits, sticky inflation, elevated asset prices, rising interest rates and geopolitical conditions continue to shift under the surface.” He added the economy remains strong due to “strong business investment and a consumer that keeps spending. These forces may be manageable, but we remain prepared for a wide range of outcomes.”

Existing Home Sales Post Mixed Results

WASHINGTON (October 13, 2026) – Existing-home sales increased by 1.5% month-over-month and decreased by 2.2% year-over-year, according to the National Association of REALTORS® Existing-Home Sales report. The report provides the real estate ecosystem, including agents, homebuyers and sellers, with data on home sales, prices and inventory.

Month-over-month sales increased in the South and West, held steady in the Midwest and declined in the Northeast. Year-over-year sales declined in all four regions.

“Despite the small monthly gain on a seasonally adjusted basis, August and September marked the two slowest months for home sales this year,” said NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun. “Further increases in mortgage rates in recent weeks mean fewer buyers can qualify to purchase a home.”

“Higher inventory and lengthening days on market give buyers improved negotiating power. Home sellers need to be realistic about local market conditions, which could require price discounts and other incentives to attract buyers,” Yun said.

Dominoes Pizza Lowers 2026 Forecast

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Domino’s Pizza, Inc., the largest pizza company in the world, announced results for the third quarter of 2026.

  • Revenues increased $38.5 million, or 3.4%, in the third quarter of 2026 as compared to the third quarter of 2025, primarily due to higher supply chain revenues and higher global franchise royalty revenues. The increase in supply chain revenues was primarily attributable to higher order volumes, as well as an increase in the Company’s food basket pricing to stores, which increased 2.2% in the third quarter of 2026 as compared to the third quarter of 2025. U.S. and international franchise royalties and fees revenues increased primarily as a result of net store growth during the trailing four quarters. These increases in revenues were partially offset by lower U.S. Company-owned store revenues as a result of the refranchising of certain U.S. Company-owned store markets in the second quarter of 2026.
  • Supply chain gross margin increased 0.9 percentage points in the third quarter of 2026 as compared to the third quarter of 2025, primarily due to procurement productivity.
  • Net income increased $12.9 million, or 9.2%, in the third quarter of 2026 as compared to the third quarter of 2025, primarily due to higher income from operations.

“As I step into the CEO role, I am honored to lead Domino’s and build on the competitive advantages that have long set us apart: our iconic brand, best-in-class franchise system, global scale and proven operating capabilities,” said Joe Jordan, Domino’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our opportunity now is to capitalize on those strengths by getting even closer to our customers, helping our franchisees grow their profitability and turning our best performance into our everyday performance. By advancing winning ideas faster and executing them with greater clarity, speed and consistency, we can earn more occasions, continue gaining market share and create meaningful long-term value for shareholders. Domino’s has always been at its best when we are a step ahead. That mindset has helped us set the pace for the industry before, and it’s how we’ll push ourselves to do it again. I believe our next chapter will be our strongest yet.”
