The Good Stuff, Vol. 165

Welcome to “The Good Stuff,” where we highlight positive news and ways that NAED employees and member companies go above and beyond to give back to their communities! If you have some “Good Stuff” that you would like to share with tED, find out how below.

In this issue of “The Good Stuff,” volunteers from IDEAL Electrical helped to transform the Southwest Baltimore Resource Hub.

On July 30, IDEAL Electrical brought together approximately 20 employee volunteers and skilled electricians to partner with Rebuilding Together Baltimore on a full-day service project at the U Empower Maryland Resource Hub in Southwest Baltimore. The project focused on improving the safety, functionality, and long-term resilience of the facility.

During the event, volunteers put their electrical expertise to work, completing electrical upgrades and enhancing lighting, installing new phone charging stations, improving the laundry room, expanding power access in program areas, and refreshing the space with new paint and branded graphics, all at no cost to the organization.

These upgrades will directly strengthen the Resource Hub’s ability to serve the community. The hub currently provides more than 20,800 meals each year, distributes more than 441,000 pounds of food, has helped 51 families with housing assistance, and has assisted residents in securing more than 430 vital documents.
