The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a Request for Information to help implement the Trump Administration’s Bulk Power Executive Order.
The Order, declared on August 26, prohibits the “acquisition, importation, transfer, or installation of any foreign-produced bulk-power system electric equipment”. The order eliminates the potential for attacks on foreign-made critical infrastructure.
The Department of Energy is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, September 16, from 3:00 p.m.- 4:00 pm Eastern Time, as it works to ensure the safety of our power grid.
The DoE specifically identifies distributors and resellers as stakeholders in our security and asks what documentation can be provided regarding country of manufacture, production, or assembly of bulk power products.
