In this issue of “The Good Stuff,” Stanion Wholesale Electric Co. has surpassed $2 million raised for Special Olympics Kansas.
PRATT, Kan. – Stanion Wholesale Electric Co. is proud to announce that the 2026 Stanion Golf Classic raised $130,700 for Special Olympics Kansas, pushing the tournament’s lifetime fundraising total to more than $2 million.

For more than a quarter century, the Stanion Golf Classic has been about more than golf. It has been about creating opportunities, building relationships, and supporting an organization that changes lives every day. Reaching the $2 million milestone is a testament to the generosity of those who have supported the tournament throughout its history and to the lasting impact those contributions have made for Special Olympics Kansas athletes and their families.
“The true measure of this milestone isn’t the dollar amount, it’s the impact behind it,” said Marc Stinson, President of Stanion Wholesale Electric. “For more than two decades, the Stanion Golf Classic has helped create opportunities, build confidence, and promote inclusion for Special Olympics athletes across Kansas. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey and proud of the difference it continues to make in the lives of athletes and their families.”
The 2026 tournament carried special significance as participants gathered for the first Stanion Golf Classic following the unexpected passing of Mike Romme, Vice President of Vendor Relations, earlier this year. During his 15 years as Tournament Director, Romme played a pivotal role in growing the event and strengthening the partnerships that helped make this historic milestone possible. His legacy continues to be reflected in the tournament’s enduring success and impact.

The Stanion Golf Classic would not be possible without the generous support of the sponsors and industry partners who have championed the event over the years. Their commitment has helped build a lasting legacy of support for Special Olympics Kansas, creating opportunities for athletes across the state and ensuring the tournament’s impact will be felt for generations to come.
