Blazer Electric Supply Company of Colorado Springs, Colorado, held the “Blazer Benefit 3” Golf Tournament on August 11, 2015 at Bear Dance Golf Club in Larkspur, Colorado.
The proceeds of $25,000 were split between the contractor training programs and scholarship funds for the local chapters of Independent Electrical Contractors and the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the IBEW. Representatives from those organizations along with Blazer employees, customers and vendors participated in the event.
The title sponsors were manufacturer’s representative Casey Bergquist and Eaton Corporation. Other major sponsors were Southwire, The Lighting Agency, Encore Wire, Illumination Systems, I-Pro and T&B.
Said Steve Blazer of Blazer Electric Supply, “We see a need to continue to assist in the local contractors’ efforts to recruit and train new people entering the trade. The generosity of our manufacturer and rep partners allowed us to increase our contributions by $5000 over last year. We have heard from many of the beneficiaries of scholarships that they couldn’t have paid for their school or tools without the help.”
Blazer Electric Supply is the area’s only locally-owned, independent electrical distributor with locations in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
