KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Brad Skinner has been appointed President of Milbank Manufacturing effective
April 1, 2016. Skinner has more than 30 years of experience with Milbank and the electrical manufacturing industry.
Skinner has expertise in the areas of sales strategy development and deployment, operational and organizational planning and management, sales process management, and negotiating private label ventures with OEMs. Most recently, Skinner helped lead the firm’s expansion into the renewable energy arena with its PowerGen™ and SynapSuite technology platforms as well as growing the firm’s international presence.
Skinner will assume many of the roles previously held by former CEO Lavon Winkler, who will retire April 1st. Additional administrative roles will be assumed by Jim Fitts, Milbank’s Chief Financial Officer. “We have been very fortunate to have Lavon as CEO these past 11 years, and he will be missed,” Skinner said. “Lavon made major contributions to Milbank, including the company’s adoption of the Toyota Lean Manufacturing System that has helped us increase production and deepen customer relationships. We will continue moving forward in a variety of areas of new technology and new manufacturing processes and systems that have resulted in tremendous growth in all segments of Milbank’s business.”
Since joining Milbank as a worker in the Kansas City plant, (even working at Milbank during summers as a high school student), Skinner has risen through the ranks in a variety of technical and management roles from shipping coordinator to production manager and general manager to his most recent position as Chief Sales Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
