Rockwell Names Rebecca House General Counsel & Secretary

MILWAUKEE — Rockwell Automation Inc. has named Rebecca (Becky) W. House senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective Jan. 3, 2017. She will report to Blake D. Moret, president and chief executive officer. House succeeds Douglas M. Hagerman, who is retiring after 12 years in the role. Hagerman will work with House to ensure a successful transition before he leaves in January 2017.

House will lead the company’s legal affairs and compliance, contracts and negotiations, the corporate secretarial function, government affairs, environmental health and safety, information and physical security, global trade compliance, and product safety.

House previously served as assistant general counsel at Harley-Davidson Inc., overseeing legal operations and company compliance. She was also the assistant board secretary. For more than six years at Harley-Davidson, she led cross-functional teams that provided counsel for all aspects of the company’s business.

Prior to Harley-Davidson, House spent 12 years at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee, serving as partner for five years. She is currently a director and board president for Sojourner Family Peace Center, the largest provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin.

House is a graduate of Harvard Law School (magna cum laude) and of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“Becky will build on Doug’s remarkable legacy as she assumes the general counsel role,” said Moret. “She is an outstanding addition to the Rockwell Automation leadership team, in terms of both her functional leadership and her contribution to the evolution of our company.”
