Eduardo Alvarez was recently named Vice President and Business Unit Manager for A.L.P.’s plastics business unit. He has more than 20 years of experience in the plastics industry, in such areas as manufacturing, molding, compounding, tooling, and machinery. Alvarez has held a number of commercial and market development roles serving a variety of industries, from electronics to automotive to lighting. Most recently he was Senior Key Accounts Manager, Lighting, for PolyOne Distribution, a leading distributor of polymers.
In his new role, Alvarez will be responsible for the planning, organization and controls assigned to A.L.P.’s performance plastic product lines. He will manage these products and services through all stages of the product life cycle to optimize profits, as well as achieve marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.
Alvarez holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and an MBA from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey.
