ABB to Expand in Mississippi

ABB to Expand in Mississippi

ABB will host a grand opening for a new plant in Senatobia, Mississippi on Friday, September 30 as part of its commitment to the Memphis area. Senatobia is located about 40 miles south of Memphis, which ABB and Thomas and Betts now uses as its U.S. headquarters.

The plant was once used to make solar power panels. ABB has renovated the 85,000-square-foot plant to fit its needs. The opening will also create 200 jobs for ABB, and potentially an additional 100 more jobs in the future. Some of those jobs include new executive level positions.

The new plant will be used to make molded case circuit breakers for factories, industrial locations and data centers.

Local and state officials, including Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant and ABB executives, will attend the grand opening event at 11 a.m. Friday at the facility, 1555 Scott in Senatobia.
