AD Appoints New VP and Managing Director of Latin America

WAYNE, Pa. — AD, the $32 billion contractor and industrial products wholesale buying / marketing group, announced that Daniel Tatini joined AD’s Electrical Division as Vice President and Managing Director of Latin America effective February 1, 2016.

Ed Crawford, President of the U.S. Electrical Division and International Development commented, “I am pleased to welcome Daniel to the AD team after a successful international career with Sonepar, Traxon Technologies and Philips Lighting.” Most recently, Tatini was COO of Sonepar South America, and was responsible for business operations and supplier relations across five companies.

In this new position, Tatini will be responsible for all AD operations in Latin America, including business strategy, Member/Supplier relations, and delivering overall financial results. In collaboration with key stakeholders, he will manage and execute AD’s ongoing expansion plans for the region.

Crawford stated, “Daniel joins the growing ranks of multi-lingual AD associates, and speaks fluent English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and some French. Initially, Daniel will be based in Brazil and will travel frequently to Mexico to support our ongoing efforts in this important market.”

Tatini has his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Mackenzie, Brazil and a Master’s in Operations from Chalmers University in Sweden. In addition, Tatini studied in an Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Tatini stated, “This is a special transition in my career.
