Wayne, PA — Affiliated Distributors (AD), the largest industrial and construction products buying and marketing group in North America, reported 4% growth across all AD Divisions in the first quarter to $7.1 billion.
By Division, AD Member sales grew as follows: Electrical up 3%; Industrial up 3%; Plumbing/PVF up 2%; HVAC up 6%; and Building Materials up 12%.
“The first quarter in 2014 presented its share of challenges including one of the worst winters affecting every region of the U.S.,” stated Bill Weisberg, AD’s Chairman and CEO. “But despite these challenges, AD consistently outpaces the marketplace with strong Supplier support and innovative programs and services.”
Doing their part for the economy, in Q1, AD Members hired 1,900 new employees, opened over 90 new locations and made 5 acquisitions.Tagged with tED
