After reviewing hundreds of applicants from various industries, the American Lighting Association (ALA) has named Carrie Kolles as its new Director of Membership, as of Nov. 27.
Kolles, who most recently served as Director of Philanthropy/Major Gift Officer for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, brings a proven track record for successful fundraising and relationship building in industries as diverse as higher education, specialized healthcare, and athletics.
“We are thrilled to welcome Carrie to the ALA team,” said ALA President and CEO Larry Lauck. “She is coming on board at an exciting time as we roll out our new three-year strategic plan. Carrie’s fresh perspective and commitment to adding value to ALA members through our programs and benefits make her the obvious choice for this role.”
Throughout her career, Kolles has developed successful retention and engagement campaigns. An enthusiastic team motivator, she is committed to providing concierge service to ALA’s membership while fostering increased involvement in the association.
“I am so excited to join the passionate team at ALA and hope to bring a new energy as Director of Membership,” said Kolles. “I step into this role with a commitment to relationship building, an enthusiasm to hear the stories of our members, and a strong drive to rally others to join the ALA family. I cannot wait to meet you at Lightovation in January, in your showrooms, and at other industry events throughout the year.”
During January Lightovation, Kolles will be visiting with members throughout the Dallas Market Center and at ALA’s booth on the fourth floor atrium of the Trade Mart. She will also be working with Lauck to connect with ALA members across the U.S. and Canada over the coming months.
