Appleton Group Announces Management Promotions

ROSEMONT, Ill. — In response to strong sales growth, Appleton Group has strengthened its sales team with the promotion of two key team members. Mike McCormack has been promoted to Director of Business Development, while Zach Gustafson has been named Sales Strategy Manager. Both will report to Dan Douglass, Vice President of Business Development.

As Director of Business Development Mr. McCormack will be responsible for Appleton Group’s strategic planning and global growth programs including strategic portfolio reviews, growth and enabling processes, and the prioritization of key growth initiatives. Since joining Appleton Group two years ago, Mr. McCormack has been a significant contributor to the strategic planning process and has helped to establish demand planning aspects and laying out end-market strategies. He has been with Emerson for a total of 4 years. He has an MBA from The Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame.
In his new position of Sales Strategy Manager Mr. Gustafson will expand his current responsibilities for customer development and CRM to the broader sales strategies of the organization including project pursuit, pipeline management and sales administration. He joined Appleton Group in 2011 as part of the Customer Service organization and has taken on roles with increasing responsibility. Mr. Gustafson successfully launched the first global CRM solution in Appleton Group’s history in the summer of 2015 and has been instrumental in transforming the sales organization into a collaborative, information-driven team. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee and is currently pursuing an MBA at The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
