Arlington’s Joe Carroll Retires, Successor Announced

SCRANTON, Pa. — Arlington Industries announced that LJ “Joe” Carroll has retired after 15 years as Arlington’s Central Regional Manager and 40 years in the electrical industry.

Carroll began his career with General Signal/Anchor Electric in 1979 in New Hampshire as a marketing specialist. Prior to that, he was employed in the consumer electronics field in Massachusetts. He also held management positions with General Signal/Anchor, T&B Corp, Milbank Mfg. Co in Kansas City and most recently, Arlington.

Carroll served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne Infantry from 1969-1970 in Vietnam, earning a Bronze Star with Valor and Combat Infantry Badge [CIB]. He graduated from college in 1969.

Carroll resides with his wife, Madeleine in Florida, where he collects and restores classic British sports cars.

Joe Sheridan

Succeeding Carroll in the role of Central Regional Manager is Joe Sheridan.

In his new role, Sheridan will work with some of the electrical industry’s leading independent sales representative agencies in promoting and selling Arlington’s innovative and labor-saving products to distributors, end users, and installers. His territory will cover 13 midwestern states: ND, SD, MN, IA, NE, KS, MO, WI, IL, MI, IN, KY and OH.

Sheridan joins Arlington after a 29-year career in the electrical industry with such companies as Walkerduct, Ilsco, Wheatland Tube, and Western Tube & Conduit.

Sheridan is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was deployed in Lebanon in the 1980s. He received his BBA from Marshall University in 1989. Sheridan, his wife, Erika, and two sons, Michael and Thomas, reside in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.
